What Customers Say About All the World's a Stage:

Like all live material of our favorite band it is best experienced at high volume. Having had this antique called a vinyl album of this set, I'm dissapointed that "A passage to bangkok" ios not on this cd; Why NOT.1. Otherwise a very nice example of their performances then.

I hope they play some of these songs again on later tours if they ever get the chance, it would be fantastic to hear songs like "Something for Nothing" or other earlier material. Rush is one of those bands you either love or hate, and I happen to think they are terrific. Enjoy. If you like this CD, chances are you'll like 2112, Farewell to Kings, and Fly By Night, so definitely give those a listen also. This CD is an example of why they are such a great band, and showcases early favorites like "By-Tor and the Snow Dog" and "Bastille Day." These and other songs make this an essential purchase for fans of Rush, those who know all the songs by heart and wish to have a taste of what Rush is like live. Although they don't play hardly any of these songs anymore, its a great buy for people who are interested in the harder-edged rock sound these guys started out with.

Amazon sold me a cutout, hole drilled into the backside of case, even though I paid for NEW cd.

Geddy Lee's vocals were too piercing on any Rush album before "Permanent Wave" but this is still their best live work.

You have a better chance of learning a part if a guitar is alone and exposed.I have never actually owned ATWAS yet, so reckon its high time I bought it & brought that wee part of my teenage brain to life again. The Damned Live at Shepperton for example I gave similar attention & reckon it doesnt have overdubs either. tho even those probably had overdubs.

Self Taught. A rare thing on any Rock album.Ive not been much into Rush later, apart from Spirit of Radio. When I was about 17-18, I had this album down on guitar.

I remember sitting in a pub in 1984 Glasgow in this period with my Punk/New Wave bandmates,.wishing I could be in Rush.Brillant live expose of a band at a junction in careers or peak even, like Get Yer Ya Yas Out, No Sleep Till Hammersmith etc. Am 42 now and just won a Scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Boston.Rush have proved to me to be a significant bridge between Punk,Rock and Jazz respectivelyMay post another review when I listen to it again Had borrowed it for months from the local library and my social life was wrecked, at home working out the Alex Lifeson solo parts.

THE great thing about this album as a guitarist is that there appear to be no overdubs, therefore only one guitar part to analyse.
